Jereh Delivered Gensets for Gas Power Generation Project in Shanxi

Yantai/ 31st August, 2018, Jereh sent 8 Jenbacher J420 mute-type container gensets to a distributed low concentration gas project in Hudi, Shanxi Province. As China’s very first gas power generation project for an individual well with both high & low concentration gas, it is also Jenbacher’s biggest low concentration gas project within Chinese market. The project is able to effectively reduce coal’s negative influence on environment.

Gas produced during raw coal production is usually harmful as it is mainly combustive and explosive methane. Greenhouse effect it brings along is 21 times that of carbon dioxide. Based on different concentration, gas can be classified as low concentration gas and high concentration gas. According to related regulations, low concentration gas cannot be stored and transported directly and thus most of it would be let into the air. It not only harms ecological system but also becomes a waste of energy resources with enormous safety threats hiding behind.

However, Hudi Project decides to fully take advantage of low concentration gas produced by coal, trying to turn low construction gas into electricity through gensets. As an outstanding authorized distributer of Jenbacher, Jereh joined hands with Jenbacher to work on Hudi Project. Jereh provided 8 Jenbacher J420 mute container gensets including gas power gensets, radiating water tanks, grid-connected control system, mute-type container body together with installation guidance and commissioning services. The Jenbacher genset is capable of quickly adapting to varied concentration of methane. If the concentration is no less than 9%, its output power will stay the same and run stably with full workload, which is highly efficient, reliable and easy to maintain.

Once the project is accomplished, its installed gross capacity can reach 10 MW with a total heat recovery of 10.5 MW, generating nearly 70 MW electricity each year. It can raise the utilization rate greatly to 80.3%, turning waste to energy while lessening the emission of greenhouse gas, which further helps to lower energy consumption, reduce emission and boost economic development at the same time.

Apart from Hudi Project, Jereh has participated in a large number of generation projects in China and other countries like Gabon and Nigeria, total installed gross capacity amounting to 100 MW. Jereh will put more emphasis on efficient utilization of energy and keep contributing to the sustainable development of society in the future.
