Chengdu/27th August, 2018, the 5th China Graduate Oil Equipment Innovation Design Competition was held with great success at SPU (Southwest Petroleum University). 

Mr. Simon Xie, the vice president of Jereh Group, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech on behalf of Jereh who’s the only sponsor and a main founder of the competition.

“Jereh longs to provide a platform like this competition for future petroleum professionals to communicate ideas as well as spark innovation and further boost the development of Chinese petroleum equipment and machinery mechanical manufacturing industry on the whole.” Mr. Xie said.

Meanwhile, Mr. Su Yinao, the famous drilling specialist and academician from Chinese Academy of Engineering, Mr. Sun Yiping, the Party Secretary of SPU and Mr. Yang Shuangquan, the Secretary of CPEIA were also present at the ceremony.

It is reported that 245 pieces of work from 54 universities in China participated in the competition this time. As the competition came to an end on 28th August after two days appraisal process, two teams from SPU won the Grand Prize owing to their outstanding design.

During the competition, a series of activities were organized to enrich the event including Entrepreneur Forum, Oil & Gas Equipment Knowledge Contest and Work Exhibition.
